Spring 2009 - Keith Basnett
Keith Basnett is a 49 year old full time company director and father of 3 who came to Bodypro in November 2008 because he required help losing weight. Keith is an ex professional rugby league player who has gained weight since retiring after a change in lifestyle. Keith was still going to the gym and following a split resistance routine with minimal cardiovascular exercise but his new lifestyle included spending more time in the seated position, which resulted in Keith becoming unhappy with his body.
Instant changes were made from day one including no alcohol intake and a more strict diet, his training emphasis changed dramatically with more emphasis being placed on cardiovascular than resistance. Keith’s new training regime included 3 Bodypro sessions on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2 gym sessions on a Tuesday and Friday and even some swimming sessions at weekends.
Keith’s main goals were to loose 2 stone in six months whilst increasing fitness, muscular tone and increase flexibility, which would hopefully enable him to reach his long term goal of living a healthier lifestyle. Following this plan and training consistently had a great affect on Keith’s stats as shown in the table below:

Keith’s triumphs did not only stop at his size statistics, his cardiovascular and muscular fitness test improved dramatically and his flexibility increased significantly.
