Autumn 2009 - Jonny Hamilton
Jonny Hamilton is a 20 year old Student who came to Bodypro in June 2009 because he required help losing weight. Jonny had gained over 42lbs (3stone) over the last couple of years and was becoming increasingly worried about his current health. Jonny had gained weight because he was not engaging in enough exercise and also because he had recently been diagnosed with reactive hypoglycaemia, which was having a negative effect on his diet.
After a full health and fitness assessment it was discovered that Jonny not only had to loose weight but also needed to improve his poor levels of fitness and flexibility. Instant changes were made from day one which included increasing Jonny’s participation in exercise and implementing a stricter nutritional regimen. Jonny’s new training regime included 3-4 sessions per week at Bodypro plus a run or bike ride in his spare time. Jonny’s new food intake during this period was very strict and included 5 balanced meals a day with limited naughty’s and no alcohol intake.
Jonny’s main short term goal was to loose 14lbs (1 stone) in the six months he was not at university over the summer. Jonny also decided that he drastically wanted to improve his cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, strength and flexibility during this period so that he could play for the university rugby team when he returned to university and also to improve his overall well being.

Following implementation of this training regimen and nutritional intake had great results on Jonny’s stats as shown in the table below:

We asked Jonny what he thought was the major contributing factor to his successes and he said: “changing all aspects of his lifestyle from sedentary to active”.
