Autumn 2008 - Glynn O'Reilly
Glynn O’Reilly is a 40 year old Fireman who came to Bodypro in May 2008 looking for training guidance and motivation to help him achieve his goals of losing weight and improving muscular tone so that he could get to his desired weight of 12st 7lbs/79kg as well as increasing his general fitness. Glynn was completing periods of intense exercise followed by periods of very little exercise and decided to come to Bodypro because he was keen to get into a structured long term routine because this inconsistency was playing havoc on his mental well being and because he was getting married in November 2008.
Glynn has been training at Bodypro for ten weeks where he has used this time to gain knowledge on how to train effectively for the rest of the week. Ashley designed Glynn’s programme so that he would complete a resistance orientated session at Bodypro and encouraged Glynn to participate in as many different types of cardiovascular training as possible including outside running, mountain biking, swimming, one other gym session per week and the occasional Pilate’s DVD session.

Glynn’s actual food intake has not changed that much during the ten week period; it is his consistent structure and routine that has helped him work towards achieving his goals. On occasions Glynn went out for meals and for drinking sessions but tried to be sensible in his choices and trained harder during the following exercise sessions.
